Love at First Bite served its first red velvet cupcake made from scratch using Guittard cocoa ten years ago on Valentine’s Day. Our first Gourmet Ghetto tour in North Berkeley started 10 years ago this month at ground central for California cuisine: the birthplace of Peet’s coffee, as well as the seasonal and delicious bites in wine, cheese, pastrami sandwiches, celery soda, single-origin chocolate and cupcakes.
February means Valentine’s Day is near, and a chance to think about love, friends, family, and your sweetie. We’ve seen love blossom on our tours in all sorts of ways: mothers and sons, mothers and daughters, girlfriends, couples newly in love as well as those who have lasted the test of time.
