About The Tour

Embark on a culinary journey through the heart of Uptown Oakland with celebrated chef, author, and restaurateur Tanya Holland. Tanya will take you on a 6-stop, 3-hour tantalizing exploration of the neighborhood's vibrant food scene, with tastes that are sure to excite and inspire.

Guests will sample a selection of Tanya's handpicked favorites like: crispy Sinigang Wings and succulent lechon kawali from Senor Sisig; specialty coffees and cannoli from The Caffé by Mr. Espresso; classic chicken pho at Tay Ho; plus more surprises and tastes along the way! Please note that tastes and stops are subject to change depending on availability.

About Tanya Holland

Tanya Holland is the celebrated founder of Oakland's famous Brown Sugar Kitchen and author of several cookbooks including Tanya Holland’s California Soul. She serves as the Chef/Chair of the Awards Committee for The James Beard Foundation and hosts both a cooking show on OWN and the podcast Tanya's Table.

With accolades such as multiple Michelin Bib Gourmand awards and television appearances on shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef, Holland is also a recognized speaker on inclusion in hospitality. She holds degrees from the University of Virginia and La Varenne École de Cuisine, and has been honored internationally as a Culinary Diplomat.
