Ferry Building & Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Food Tour

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays 10:00am - 11:30am (and custom tour dates based on availability*)
$90 per person - 1.5 hour tours

Join the original Ferry Building Tour established in 2004 with a knowledgeable food industry professional as your guide. Guests will sample handmade chocolate confections from Recchiuti and French macarons from Miette, named one of the top ten pastry shops in the world by Conde Nast Traveler. Recently opened, Señor Sisig’s ube churros and chicken tortas are a new crowd favorite. Award-winning cheese tastings at Epicurean Trader, paired with sweet and sour loaves from Berkeley’s Acme Bread are always a hit. Additional stops may include Gott’s RoadsideHumphry Slocombe, Reems or Cholita Linda.

Please note that the Farmer's Market is active on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Tours on all other days will include more time, visits and tastes inside the building.

Two entertaining and engaging historical landmarks bring you the ultimate, day-long San Francisco excursion exploring land, sea, food, and history. You'll begin with a 90-minute tasting tour of the best of the Ferry Building Marketplace, where a knowledgeable guide/food industry professional leads you on a historic, food-filled journey of the building's local, artisan cuisine and food purveyors. After a brief break, you'll then voyage by ferry to one of the city’s most popular attractions, Alcatraz Island, for a self-guided tour of the beautiful island and its history-packed maximum-security prison that has drawn San Francisco Bay Area tourists for decades.

Japantown Food Tour

Fridays and Saturdays, 11am - 2pm
$130 per person

San Francisco is home to one of only three remaining Japantowns in the United States, and our guide takes great pleasure in showing it off to locals and visitors alike. Tastes may include a bento box of savory salads from locally owned Japanese market, Super Mira; onigiri (rice balls) from family-run Kissako Tea; Takoyaki (Japanese street food) from Yama-Chan; matcha soft serve boba sundae from Matcha Cafe Maiko; and steaming bowls of ramen from Hinodeya Ramen Bar. After the tour, you’ll be an expert on where to find the best bites in the neighborhood.

Mission 18th St Food Tour

Saturdays 11:00am - 2:00pm
$150 per person with alcohol, or $130 per person without alcohol

Definitely come hungry for this one! Join us as we show off the neighborhood along the Valencia Street corridor, home to some of the busiest and buzziest food ventures in this hipster haven. On this guided walking and tasting tour, you’ll savor neighborhood favorites like: Pork belly bao from Piglet and Co; chicken arepitas, tequenos and *sangria from Venezuelan hot spot, Arepas, and Vietnamese sandwiches crafted by Charles Phan at Chuck’s Takeaway. And, while visitors line up around the corner for Bi-Rite Creamery’s handmade ice cream, but you’ll be treated like a VIP with front-of-the-line access to a scoop.

Coming Soon - North Beach

Join us on a walking food tour in San Francisco’s “Little Italy”, known locally as North Beach, for a culinary adventure through one of the city’s most iconic and delicious neighborhoods. Steeped in Italian heritage and known for its vibrant food and drinks scene, North Beach draws equal parts locals and tourists to its trattorias, bakeries and cocktail bars. Edible Excursions’ local epicurean concierges will treat your palate to coal-fired thin crust and focaccia pizza, meatball sandwich on focaccia and tiramisu, among other eats, while sharing stories about these historic eateries and you won’t be left wanting more.
