Fabulous Mural Debuts in Ferry Building
Congratulations to our partners at CUESA for their bold, bright, and beautiful new photomural installation at the San Francisco Ferry Building.
Shot by photographer Anne Hamersky, The Food Change project champions sustainable farmers, food advocates, and everyday eaters. Anne, who has long documented food and farming folks, says the grand, monumental space is a perfect site for an agricultural-oriented installation with widespread appeal.
The visuals are designed with all the Ferry Building regulars and randoms in mind: adults, children, workers, shoppers, commuters, chefs, joggers, tourists, farmers market devotees, the whole motley crew that frequent this iconic building.
The idea behind the artwork: to celebrate the people who are making positive change in our food system and to inspire eaters of all ages to take part in creating a fair, regenerative, and delicious food future. That’s a mission statement we are happy to support.
Be sure to check it out when you next visit the Ferry Building. Or, better yet, come for our San Francisco Ferry Building and Farmers Market Food Tour and linger over the larger-than-life art.
